We hold your personal contact information (which you provide when you register) to facilitate your on-going secure access to the site. Having individual registrations allows us to monitor site activity and gather data on-site usage. We also hold a record of your activity on the website (details available to you on request).
Your personal registration and activity records provide you with the opportunity to undertake assessments on the site which is proof that you have completed the training.
We take our data protection responsibilities seriously and do not share your information with third parties, with the exception of the East Midlands and East of England NHS Genomic Laboratory Hub. We will share your contact information and assessment results with the Genomic Laboratory Hub as this data forms part of the Genomic Laboratory Hub quality auditing procedures.
We will not use your contact details for marketing purposes but the Genomic Laboratory Hub will communicate with you to keep you up to date with developments in the NHS Genomic Medicine Service. The Genomic Laboratory Hub will only contact you with information relevant to clinical genomic testing. We provide a quarterly newsletter with service updates and training opportunities and will tailor any other communication by profession, specialty, or location. If you do not want to receive such information, please email emee.glh@nhs.net.
We regularly refresh and add to the content on our website. As such we are happy for you to continue using our website at your convenience. We may periodically contact you to confirm you want to continue having access to the site.
